Binge drinking is defined as 5 or more alcoholic drinks in about two hours for males and about 4 drinks for females. That behavior is a concern because a 2009 National Institutes of Health study concludes there is a direct connection between alcohol consumption and alcohol-related injury risk. This Friday NET News presents a new television documentary Binge that examines high-risk drinking by young adults in Nebraska. In the first of a series of radio reports, Perry Stoner explains how some colleges and universities are dealing with the issue.
