The annual festival runs Wednesday through Sunday. Theater spokesperson Willa Kosman says the festival is unique for a city the size of Scottsbluff.
"You don't see film festivals in small communities very often," she says. "Number one is film festivals usually lose money. And we've been pretty lucky that we've had such great businesses in our area that sponsor these events."
The festival features a different film genre each night, including documentary, comedy and other topics. The cost is $75 for the entire festival, or $5 per movie.
