Nebraska coroners work to improve training

For nearly 100 years the responsibility for declaring an official cause of death at an accident or crime scene in Nebraska has been in the hands of county coroners. By law, that is one of the jobs of County Attorneys in this state. Last year, the Nebraska legislature added new standards to carry out that essential job. The updated requirements are nearly in place.
