The University of Nebraska Board of Regents has unanimously approved a resolution authorizing UNL to apply for membership in the Big 10 Conference. UNL Chancellor Harvey Perlman, speaking to NU Regents today (Friday), said UNL is in many ways more closely alligned to Big 10 Conference schools, and that this move "will bring Nebraska the stability that the Big 12 cannot offer." UNL Athletic Director Tom Osborne told Regents that "going to the Big 10 will enhance many of our sports" and that Husker coaches are 100 percent behind making the move.
