Nebraska Concerts in June

The June Nebraska Concerts features two concerts from Omaha and several from Lincoln.

June 1st - The Omaha Symphony perform an all Tchaikovsky concert called “Joshua Bell Play Tchaikovsky,” featuring Bell playing the "Concerto in D Major."

June 8th - From the Glenn Korff UNL School of Music, performances by the UNL Brass Quintet, the UNL Big Band, and the UNL Jazz Orchestra.

June 15th - The Omaha Symphony return to perform a concert called "Breaking Tradition: New Frontiers in Music and Art" from the Joslyn Art Museum in Omaha.  The guest soloist is cellist Paul Ledwon.

June 22nd - The "By Request" concert by the Nebraska Brass, and a performance by the Nebraska Chamber Players.

June 29th - The "20 Years of Sweet Voices" concert by Lincoln vocal ensemble Dulces Voces, and from the Glenn Korff UNL School of Music, a performance by the Moran Woodwind Quintet.

This weekly program airs Sundays at 1 p.m. Central on all stations of the NET Radio network.  It is produced and edited by Dave Hughes, Michael Keelan is scriptwriter and host, and most of the concerts are recorded by James Duchesneau and Jeff Smith.  UNL Glenn Korff School of Music recordings are provided by Jeffrey O'Brien.  Nebraska Brass and Nebraska Jazz Orchestra recordings are provided by Arts Incorporated.  And, Omaha Symphony concerts are recorded by Clete Baker of Studio B for Classical 90.7 KVNO.
