The Sheldon Museum of Art on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus will host a free screening of the NET Television production “Emery Blagdon & His Healing Machine” on Tuesday, Nov. 19, at 7 p.m. in the Ethel S. Abbott Auditorium. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion featuring NET Television filmmakers Kelly Rush and Charles Aylward, and Connie Paxton, the great niece of Emery Blagdon.
“Emery Blagdon & His Healing Machine” tells the story of Nebraska artist Emery Blagdon, his “Healing Machine” and the North Platte native responsible for preserving his great American art. The program premiered in August on NET Television, and will air nationally on PBS in 2014.
