Digital TV is coming

All major television stations in the U.S. are now broadcasting with only digital signals. In order to watch digital TV, you need to:

Number One Purchase a new digital TV set, or ...
Number Two Subscribe to a cable or satellite provider, or ...
Number Three Purchase a set-top converter box that plugs into your analog TV.

July 31, 2009 was the deadline to apply for a free government coupon worth $40 off your purchase of a set-top converter box. For more information about that program, click here.

If you are interested in getting a set-top converter box for additional televisions, or to replace your current cable or satellite subscription, click here to see the government's list of retail vendors.

The installation of a converter box is not as difficult as you might think. To see how easy it is to install a typical converter box, click here!
