- If you receive your TV signal via cable or satellite, you will not be affected and can continue to use the televisions you have now, no matter how old they are.
- But if you receive a TV signal through an antenna or "rabbit ears" on your TV you’ll need to make a change.
You have three options:
Purchase a new TV set with a built-in digital tuner.
Subscribe to a cable or satellite provider.
Purchase a set-top converter box that plugs into your analog TV. Each household is eligible for two $40 rebate coupons from the federal government (see the links on this page).
