Reliance on imported oil brings with it issues of energy independence, economic security and political stability. Now, with seemingly soaring gas prices, there's an effort to replace some of the imported oil from American soil. Farmers are asked to fuel our country.
The fuel comes from the corn fields of America's Heartland. Ethanol. But it brings two conflicting forces into battle and a maze of complicated issues.
How will America meet her energy needs? Will short term answers create long term problems? Can America's farmers play a larger role in quenching the energy thirst? Will we find our way through the Ethanol Maze?
