Bill Kelly ETV-- Executive
Producer
Bill Kelly is the producer
of the February 1st Town Hall meeting to be broadcast on the Nebraska
ETV Network. He oversees the content and logistics of the broadcast. Since
discussions began early in 2000 about this project, Kelly has worked closely
with the editors at the Lincoln Journal and Star in developing
this project.
As
the Executive Producer for News/Public Affairs at the Nebraska Educational
Telecommunications Network, Bill Kelly oversees production and development
of new programming. He began his association with NETV in 1990, covering
the state legislature and producing a documentary on the Strategic Air
Command's transition into a world without the Cold War. In 1993 he created
the weekly news program STATEWIDE. This innovative series, done in cooperation
with commercial broadcasters and newspapers across the state has become
one of the most watched and highly regarded programs on the network. The
News unit also produces the network's daily coverage of the Nebraska Legislature
and coordinates special projects including "Campaign Connection," NETV's
expansive coverage of the 2000 elections. Previously, at WOWT in Omaha,
Kelly covered government and politics. He produced a nationally award
winning documentary on a notorious Nebraska crime spree titled "Charles
and Caril: Starkweather 30 years later." He previously worked at KARD
in Wichita and WLFI in Lafayette, Indiana. His work earned honors from
the Associated Press, United Press International, and the National Cowboy
Hall of Fame. He graduated from Purdue University. He continues to serve
on the Omaha Press Club board of directors as a past president, and is
a regular performer and writer in the annual Gridiron show poking fun

Theresa
Cha Theresa Cha wrote a package of stories on gene therapy
and human genomes for "Medical Ethics: Tough Choices." She joined
the news staff of the Lincoln Journal Star a year ago as the health
and medical reporter.
Cha, 29, a Tulsa, Okla., native, graduated in 1994 from the University
of Pennsylvania, where she studied neurobiology and worked in neuroscience
labs as a pre-med major. In 1998 she earned a master's degree in journalism
at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications in Syracuse,
N.Y., where she wrote about the stigma of mental illness as part of
a project financed by the Rosalyn Carter Institute.
Born in South Korea, Cha once was a concert-level pianist who also
has worked in the publishing and catering businesses in Philadelphia

Catharine Huddle
coordinated stories, photos, graphics and design and edited copy for
the "Medical Ethics: Tough Choices" packages.
Huddle, 46, started as a weather and obituary clerk in 1978 for the
Lincoln Journal and covered prison news and did general assignment
reporting for the newspaper. She was an assistant city editor the
Lincoln Journal Star and has been Sunday editor since 1997. Huddle
graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a degree in

Martha
Stoddard, a former health care writer for the Lincoln Journal,
wrote about stem cell research for "Medical Ethics: Tough Choices."
Stoddard has worked as a journalist in Lincoln since 1985.
She covered K-12 education and state government, including the Nebraska
Legislature, and is now assigned to the higher education beat for
the Lincoln Journal Star.
Stoddard, 43, has a master's degree in journalism from the University
of Nebraska-Lincoln and a bachelor's degree in international development
from Earlham College in Richmond, Ind.

JoAnne
Young wrote the package on cloning for "Medical Ethics: Tough
Choices."
Young covered health for The Lincoln Star and the Lincoln Journal
Star for more than a decade. Now assigned to cover primary and secondary
education, she moved back to reporting a year ago after a stint as
assistant city editor.
Young, 50, earned a bachelor's degree in communications from the University
of Nebraska at Omaha in 1976 and later studied journalism at the University
of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Bob
Reeves wrote about xenotransplants for "Medical Ethics: Tough
Choices. He covers religion news for the Lincoln Journal Star. Reeves
started work at The Lincoln Star in 1976 and has covered a variety
of areas for the Star and the Lincoln Journal Star, including education
and state government.
Reeves, 55, graduated from the University of Missouri in Columbia

Bundy is news editor at the Lincoln Journal Star and designed

Bundy, 33, graduated in 1989 from Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa.

Star, for 10 years.
