For
Connoisseurs of the Weird
In
every life, a little weirdness must fall.
It's what makes life interesting and exciting.
So,
go ahead -- take a virtual tour
of Carhenge. In England they build these things out of ancient
stone. In Nebraska, we build them out of ancient cars. And you will
note that these are all American cars.
Or,
perhaps you are interested in a bar and grill where it looks like
the proprietor has killed everything on the menu. But, if that supposition
were true it would be the most eclectic -- and probably illegal
-- menu in the world. It used to be called Ole's Big Game Bar and
Grill, but since they got a Web site it's known as Ole's
Big Game Steakhouse and Lounge in Paxton.
Or,
if you arrive in the July, you'll be treated to the one and only
Chicken Show
in Wayne, Nebraska. This year is the 21st annual event and features
chicken games, kite flying, a dance, parade, chicken feed, national
cluck-off and more. And if you visit their web site, you can even
hear the winners from past cluck off competitions.
