"after the order" - Director's Notes

"I almost literally stumbled upon ‘after the order’ when I took a group of kids to a church event and there was this musical group playing in a barn next to a pumpkin patch and corn maze. I was drawn inside to see this group perform because the musical quality was incredible, the energy and stage presence of the group was powerful, but what really sucked me in was that their music was about broken and healed relationships. So much of today's music deals with the negative aspects of humanity that I found the redeeming qualities of the music refreshing. Luke Mills sent me a copy of ‘Tear Stained World,’ and the music on the disk just blew me away. So many times you pick up a CD and maybe you'll like three or four out of the 10 or so cuts on the album. I loaded the whole disk on to my MP3 player! Every song was so well produced and exhibited maturity in song writing, that I just had to make a music video of one of the songs."
