When Frank Guzevich met Nellie Romero at a dance in 1956, no one could have imagined that it would be the start of a Grammy-award winning family polka band. This eclectic, multi-generation group has become a favorite at several of the polka festivals across the country. With their mother's Hispanic heritage and their father's Polish influence, the Polka Family mesmerizes the audience with their mix of talent, flamboyance and thrilling infectiousness that has dazzled crowds everywhere.

The Polka Family Band has recorded three CD's: Fiddle Faddle, We Are Family, and Polka Music Fan. All three have received Grammy nominations in the Best Polka Recording category. In 1992 the band electrified the audience at the Carnegie Hall Folk Festival program "The Main Squeeze." The seven-member group includes Frank Guzevich, leader, on accordion; Nellie Guzevich on bells and tambourine; Fred Guzevich on bass, fiddle, and guitar; Hank Guzevich on trumpet and lead vocals; Keevin Solecki on accordion; Glenn Dydak on saxophone and clarinet and Ralph Sabatini on drums.
