Academics vs. Athletics  
[January 16 & 23, 2004] – The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is planning a $50 million project for Memorial Stadium. Critics claim a drive for improved athletic facilities indicates misplaced priorities at the University. Some say major college athletic departments are engaged in an arms race to stay at the top. "Statewide" reporters Perry Stoner and Mike Tobias examines these issues in a two-part series on academics vs. athletics.
