 PERSPECTIVE:  FIRST DISTRICT RACE 

[April 30, 2004] – Congressman Doug Bereuter has dominated first district elections for years. His decision to retire from congress gave hope to anyone with dreams of serving in the house of representatives. On May 11th first district voters will select the Republican and Democratic nominees. The winners will face Green Party candidate Steve Larrick for the right to go to Washington. Brad Penner reports the field of candidates is crowded.
