[December 19, 2003] – An attention-getting collection of hi-tech equipment and world-class scientists descended on O'Neill, Nebraska, 50 years ago. Their mission? Study air movement near the ground. The results of their research are still relevant today. In tonight's Perspective report "Statewide" has the story and rare film of the Great Plains Field Turbulence Project. Dave Manoucheri, a former O'Neill resident who now works as a commercial TV photojournalist in Dallas, Texas, produced this segment for "Statewide."
