PERSPECTIVE:  PROTECTING KIDS  [May 7, 2004] – Last fall, Governor Mike Johanns called for changes in the child welfare system. The legislature approved reforms in the last session. The plan calls for greater communication and coordination among the different agencies in the child welfare system.
