Heavy snow blanketed parts of Nebraska this winter. But that blanket may not be enough safety to protect parts of the state from a fifth straight year of drought. Drought has been a multi-million dollar natural disaster for Nebraska, and it's straining water supplies. State hydrologist Ann Bleed describes Nebraska's water supply situation as "pretty grim," with reservoirs well below normal and groundwater levels dropping. "Statewide's" Mike Tobias reports this is impacting towns and farms throughout the state.
