The site in Lincoln, NE...
"When we started this project we wanted to concentrate on this half block and at least make sure, as we placed the Torn Notebook, that it wasn't in the way of any future thoughts. So we tried to at least demonstrate, from a design standpoint, how this whole block could be pulled together in the future."

Viewing the sculpture at night...
"Light at night is a whole different experience from the daylight because the daylight it is lit from above from the sun. At night we are lighting it with recessed light. We were careful to always light one side, which gives a wash of light, and then as we walk around the piece from the backside, that is dark and in silhouette, but the cut out letters catch the light and they just glow. It is really a fascinating piece at night."
