Just out from the University of Nebraska Press, it’s a compelling read of Ron’s very full life as producer, director and passionate advocate for NET and public broadcasting. Here’s a personal look into his friendships with famous Nebraskans like writers Mari Sandoz and John Neihardt, actress Sandy Dennis, and talk show host Dick Cavett, as well as the unsung heroes of Nebraska’s cultural life. There are also rich stories from encounters with stars such as John Wayne, William Shatner, and Eva Marie Saint. The Adams County Historical Society and the Hastings Community Theatre present their 2nd annual PARKVIEW CEMETERY WALK with three shows each Oct. 25 & 26 at 5:30, 6:00 and 6:30; and Oct. 28 at 3:00, 3:30, and 4:00.
