The SHELDON FRIENDS OF CHAMBER MUSIC has a world premiere on its concert series at the Sheldon Museum of Art, Friday, Sep. 21st. On the program is Robert Sirota’s brand-new PANGE LINGUA Violin Sonata featuring Chiara String Quartet violinist Hyeyung Julie Yoon and pianist Soyeon Kate Lee. They’ll also perform the Bach Violin Sonata in C Minor, BWV 1017, then Chiara cellist Gregory Beaver joins them for Brahms’ Piano Trio in C Major, Op. 87. The Sandoz Society hosts its annual PILSTER LECTURE at the Sandoz High Plains Heritage Center at Chadron State College Thursday, Sep. 27th. The Lincoln Arts Council’s 12th annual Lincoln Arts Festival opens Saturday, Sep. 22 and runs through Sunday at SouthPointe Pavilions.
