Big plays are no stranger to Nebraska football. You can view some of the biggest on this website and even "Be The Coach" to see how you compare to one of the greatest college football coaching minds. Our unit was also responsible for creating a supplemental DVD for this series.
   Wessels Living History Farm

The Wessels Living History Farm website teaches visitors what it was like to live on a farm in Nebraska during the early 20th century.  The site engages visitors with interactive animations and dramatic first-person recollections from people living at the time. The "virtual" living history farm lets people who could never have personally visited the physical site experience the history themselves.
   Law Enforcement / State Patrol Training
Learning Services created online training courses for Nebraska Law Enforcement and State Patrol. These courses allow for back end administration, online registration, and contain rich multimedia. Site supervisors and instructors are able to track and monitor the progress of the trainee as well as provide feedback on their final projects.

    
   RADAR Recertification
Providing the Nebraska Law Enforcement Training Center (NLETC) long distance, standard operating procedures training for RADAR Recertification. CD-ROM contains video and graphic simulations of traffic RADAR investigative environments.
   Vatterott College Project
"Getting Started" is a standalone, CD-based training course for new career and technical school teachers. Designed for the Vatterott College system, this instructional CD focuses on the knowledge and skills necessary for getting off to a successful start in teaching. It is specifically targeted at new teachers with limited preparation for teaching. Each unit includes both video and text instruction. An innovative and user-friendly syllabus generator helps teachers build, save and modify syllabi for their classes.
   Wonderwise Interactive CDs
These nine CD-ROMS (also available in Spanish) explore the work of nine diverse women scientists, from a rainforest ecologist to a bison veterinarian. Children discover the fun of learning about science through videos, imaginative interactive games, and accompanying guidebooks full of group activities. Sponsored by the Nebraska State Museum, 4-H, the National Science Foundation, and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute.
   Eastern Cherokee Language CD
This CD-ROM reinforces Cherokee language instruction for Cherokee preschool children. Based upon communicative language theory, the “colors” unit evolves from the Cherokee story, “How the Possum Lost His Colorful Tail”. The activities range from simple input to self-assessment games with proactive guidance.

Learning Services created the original series of over 50 hybrid / CD based high school courses for this Virtual School company. These CD / Websites combined sound pedagogical techniques and high-quality course content with the latest interactive multimedia techniques to deliver courses that engaged students' interest and fired their imaginations.

    
   College Alc Video
Aimed at college freshmen, the web course College Alc presents the latest research related to college alcohol use, social norms, consequences, harm prevention, and treatment. This video is the first in a mini-series of four that follows a college student and her friends as they deal with alcohol issues.
   How Alcohol Enters the Body Presentation
Animation and user interaction play a key role in subject matter retention. Our unit takes great pride in creating engaging, visually appealing interactions that engage the learner. Studies have proven that interactive learning techniques are much more efficient than static processes such as text found in a book or stand alone training videos.
   Injured Soldier IV Application
This interaction teaches the correct sequence in administering an IV to a downed soldier. It is a good example of the kind of interactive / educational flash applications we can develop. Results can be written to a database and recalled later if need be.
   Forklift Interactions
Two interactions that involve a 3-D modeled forklift that we created. The first interaction is used to identify the location of various parts of the machine. In the second, you can manipulate the controls to understand how to properly operate the lift.
   Virtual Microscope
Using this microscope is just like the real thing! First, select a slide and drag it onto the microscope tray. Switch on the light by pressing the switch underneath the slide tray then adjust the focus by clicking on the rotation symbols found when you place your mouse over the upper dials. Magnification can also be adjusted by clicking on the lens in use.
