Okinawans Protest Deployment Of U.S. Osprey

A new deployment of U.S. Marine Corps aircraft to the Japanese island reignited long-running resentment of the U.S. military's presence there. Twelve of the vertical-take-off planes are being sent to Okinawa, and local residents say the aircraft has a bad accident record. The U.S. military says the Osprey is a safe airplane, and the Japanese government has given its approval to the deployment.
