NET--Your Home for Sports
For more than 50 years, NET Sports has been providing coverage of collegiate and high school sports in Nebraska. Nebraska football has been in the forefront since September 1959 when “Cornhusker Football” premiered. Providing analysis and highlights of Husker football games, the series took on a new title – “Big Red Play-By-Play” – in 1991 and again in 1995 when it became “Big Red Wrap-Up.” Over the years, the three series have transitioned through several hosts, from Dick Perry, Bob Zenner, Don Gill and Bill Doleman to current BRWU host Kevin Kugler. Kugler is joined by former Huskers Adrian Fiala and Blake Lawrence, as well as recruiting expert Sean Callahan. “Big Red Wrap-Up” is the only statewide interactive sports series, reaching viewers live on television, online and through social media.
NET Sports has also been a leader in live coverage of regional sporting events, including Husker volleyball, baseball, women’s basketball, softball and wrestling; Creighton baseball and basketball; University of Nebraska at Omaha hockey; NSAA high school championships in football, volleyball, boys’ and girls’ basketball, swimming and diving, and wrestling. Insightful and entertaining documentaries like “Dream Like a Champion,” “Rosenblatt: The Final Inning” and the “Husker Century” trilogy are also products of NET Sports.
It’s always more than a game to the NET Sports team – NET Sports is Nebraska’s Home for Sports!
