TEACHER TRAINING INITIATIVE

On February 6th, 2009 NET Television, WNET New York and the Nebraska Department of Education’s office of Social Studies invite you to take part in a unique educational opportunity. Representatives from WNET, public television’s flagship station in New York City will lead a free educator’s workshop in support of the national primetime premiere of LOOKING FOR LINCOLN, a new two-hour PBS series and centerpiece of the nation’s 2009 Lincoln Bicentennial Celebration.

Designed for immediate use in middle and high school classrooms, workshop information adheres to national learning standards and contains comprehensive instructions for classroom implementation. Plus free Lincoln-based educational materials, downloadable student handouts, links to relevant and dynamic online resources and cross-curricular extensions.
