Parents and Students Get College Preparation Tips

What type of college should I attend? How will I pay for it? Is financial aid available? There are a number of questions to consider as high school students and their families start thinking about college.

"Countdown to College: A Nebraska Connects Special," airing Tuesday, Dec. 11, at 7 p.m. CT on NET1, can help parents and future college students find answers to these and other collegerelated questions during the live, call-in program.

Viewers can phone in questions by calling 1-800-666-3721 toll-free across the state. They may also submit questions via e-mail in advance or during the program to countdown@educationquest.org.

A videotaped version of the "Countdown to College" program repeats on NET1 on Thursday, Dec. 20, at 10 p.m. CT, as well as on NET2 on Friday, Dec. 14, at 9 p.m. CT; Saturday, Dec. 15, at 7 a.m. CT; and Sunday, Dec. 23, at 10 p.m. CT.

"Countdown to College: A Nebraska Connects Special" is a production of NET Television for broadcast on NET1 and NET2. For the ninth consecutive year, NET is partnering on the project with the EducationQuest Foundation. NET1 and NET2 are part of NET Television, a service of NET. EducationQuest Foundation is a nonprofit organization with offices in Kearney, Lincoln and Omaha that provides free services and information to help students prepare for college, apply for financial aid, search for scholarships and navigate the student loan process.
