Do you have questions about major Medicare changes that are coming in 2006? Would you like some tips on how to avoid becoming a victim of insurance fraud? Or, if you are a college student, do you need to know if your parents’ health and auto insurance still cover you?
For answers to these and other insurance questions, tune in to “Insurance Advice: A Nebraska Connects Special,” airing Tuesday, June 21, at 8 p.m. CT (7 MT) on NET1. Hosted by NET Television’s Mike Tobias, the live, hour-long program is designed to educate consumers on a variety of insurance issues.
The program will feature segments focusing on Medicare changes and insurance fraud, as well as a general segment covering property, casualty, life and health and other insurance questions. Experts from the Nebraska Department of Insurance will answer viewers’ questions on-air, with additional Department of Insurance staff answering telephones.
“I’m pleased that the Department of Insurance can play a role in educating the public. Informed citizens make the best insurance-buying decisions,” said Tim Wagner, director of the State Department of Insurance.
Viewers are encouraged to call in with questions or comments toll-free to 1-800-676-5446 (472-1212 in Lincoln), or send them via e-mail before or during the live program to neconnects@unl.edu.
